You are not required to pay monthly or weekly premiums and your employer provides it as a fringe benefit.
Voluntary Group Plan
Since group dental insurance is cheaper than individual dental insurance it may be a good idea to get together with your colleagues and ask your employer to set up a voluntary group dental insurance plan. This plan undertakes to pay your and your colleagues’ medical bills but will be cheaper and have better benefits in comparison to individual dental insurance plans.
Dental Discount Plans
Dental discount plans help pay medical expenses at low costs (i.e. lower premiums). Dental discount plan is not an insurance policy. You can however avail discounts on specific services. Dental discount plans require the beneficiary to pay registration and monthly fees to the dental discount plan provider. These fees are nonetheless much lower than your dental insurance premiums.
